And just yesterday, a Toppers Pizza delivery driver came up behind me FAST and too close. How close? I didn’t see his car’s hood in my rear view mirror. Call me crazy, but that seems too close. Clearly, somebody was pretty damn hungry and he needed to make a delivery yesterday. After a half mile of this, he pulled around me – illegally, and came close to hitting my car in the process.
It shook me up as it happened so fast.
These actions don’t surprise me. I’ve seen other Topper’s drivers in my neighborhood driving faster than the speed limit. Sorry Toppers, but no pizza needs to get delivered that damn fast.
I called the Topper’s location today and the person I spoke with sounded like he could care less. No, I wasn’t at all surprised by this, but if this happens again (and I sure hope it doesn’t), I’m following the driver, getting a plate number and filing a complaint with the police department. And if I’m really pissed off, I’m sending an e-mail to the city councilperson about the drivers.
I just bought a new used car. Does my having a new used car make me a fucking target? Is there some invisible target on my car that I wasn't told about?
I think I’m a good driver. I come to a complete stop at stop signs. I don’t talk or text and drive (I keep my phone in my purse when I drive). I give the right of way to pedestrians in crosswalks. I keep to the speed limit in residential neighborhoods.
Minnesota, I love you, but the drivers here SUCK. Don’t tailgate. Look where you’re going. Slow the fuck down. It’s called common sense, people. Use it.
