Damn this daylight savings time.
Yes, we get an extra hour of sleep, but we lose that precious hour of daylight. Not a fair trade. I don’t know how you could think it is.
I’m succumbing to the after effects of DST. Sluggishness, flannel pajamas going on far earlier than should be allowed, eating more high-carb foods.
I’m even contemplating going to sleep before 9:30 tonight. Can you believe it?
But, this will pass.
There’s but one small consolation in all this darkness – right before Christmas, it’s the winter solstice and after that, the length of daylight increases each day. That’s the one thing keeping me going. The light at the end of the tunnel, or in this case, end of the year.
